The « Parc des Volcans d’Auvergne » is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. The natural reserve « la Vallée de Chaudefour », the waterfalls, the crater lakes like « Lac Pavin », the « Massif du Sancy » and the Chain of Volcanoes are unique and beautyful.
We also offer several walks and hikes that start right from the campsite. Just ask!
Saint Nectaire offers you an animation program throughout the season. Theres also a Casino, Thermadore, Forest adventure courses, Hot air ballon flights, Caves, XII century Roman church, Fontaines Pétrifiantes, Mystères de Farges, 4×4 Offroad Driving, Restaurants with regional specialties, and even the possibility to see how our famous cheese AOC is being made.
The Region also has many things to offer : Lac Chambon, Lac d’Aydat, Chateau de Murol, Caves troglodytes de Jonas, and of course the Puy de Dôme, Puy de Pariou, Puy de la Vache, Volcan de Lemptegy and Vulcania.
